Zoekverantwoording klachten

Vraag 1: Welke klachten komen voor tijdens en na afronding van de in opzet curatieve behandeling?

 Eerste search
Op 18 mei 2009 werd op het CBO in aanwezigheid van de werkgroepleden Y. Engelen en G. Vreugdenhil via de interface OVID een search in Medline uitgevoerd. De searches in Embase (via OVID), PsycINFO (via OVID) en CINAHL (via EbscoHost) wordt in afwezigheid van werkgroepleden door de informatiespecialist volgens dezelfde zoekstrategie uitgevoerd op 19 mei 2009.

De trefwoorden en vrije tekst-termen bij de O volgen uit searches van deze richtlijn die eerder hebben plaatsgevonden. Onderdelen van de PICO worden tijdens de search aangepast.

Tijdens de bespreking van de voorbereide PICO wordt van deze strategie afgeweken. Afgesproken wordt systematic reviews en RCT's te zoeken voor de meest voorkomende klachten bij (de behandeling van) kanker (volgens opgave en selectie van beide werkgroepleden): fatigue, pain, cognitive dysfunction (concentratie, geheugen), physical dysfunction, depression/anxiety/stress/distress, psychosocial or sexual dysfunctioning (onderdeel quality of life). Voor de verschillende klachten worden niet in een search gezocht: afgesproken wordt dat nu voor fatigue gezocht wordt, en dat de informatiespecialist in afwezigheid van werkgroepleden voor de andere klachten zoekt.

Een derde search en selectie werd uitgevoerd door H.M.. Wittink en A.V. Ranchor.

Patiënt: Alle oncologische aandoeningen, alle fasen van de ziekte.

Interventie: Revalidatie interventies in patiënten met oncologische aandoeningen. Uitgesloten werden lifestyle studies, i.e. studies waarin patiënten advies kregen om thuis te bewegen en waarbij geen functies zoals kracht en aeröbe capaciteit werden gemeten.

Outcome: Meetinstrumenten/fysieke testen gebruikt om de effecten van oncologische revalidatie te bepalen

Limiteringen: Taal (Nederlands, Engels, Duits); Jaartal (1999 tot januari 2010), design: RCT.
