• Is there any other reason to suspect that this incident was non-accidental?
• Was a skeletal survey required?

Reminder: Are the parent’s explanations for the “accident” described in the medical record? Include information on: sequence of events leading to the accident (including high risk factors, crisis in the family, lack of supervision, etc): explanation for the injury (is it satisfactory or are there major discrepancies?); appropriate time at which

injury occurred (was there a delay in seeking medical care?); and previous unusual accidents.
