Kennisvragen

Tijdens de ontwikkeling van de modules is gebleken dat er binnen een aantal modules nog te weinig bewijs is voor de onderbouwing van de aanbeveling en dus kennisvragen bestaan. (Vervolg)onderzoek is wenselijk om in de toekomst een duidelijker antwoord te kunnen geven op vragen uit de praktijk.

Achtergrond

Post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) can occur after acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT) due to deep vein obstruction and/or valve insufficiency. The cornerstone of treatment is compression therapy, exercise, pursuit of a healthy weight and, depending on the cause of the DVT, long-term anticoagulation. If this does not sufficiently reduce the symptoms of PTS and the obstruction is in the deep veins of the v femoralis communis, v iliacae and/or vena cava inferior, stent placement may be considered. The patient benefits of this intervention are not yet clear.

• Wat is de optimale strategie voor het verkrijgen van patency?

• Wat is de waarde van antistolling na de procedure?
